Veuve means widow in French, and the famous champagne house is named after Madame Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin Clicquot, who continued production after her husband's death and made the winery one of the most famous in the world. On her trip to Russia, she also stopped in Croatia. She advised winemakers to blend varieties when making wine, and supposedly the cuvée in the Kutjevo region was named Klikun after her.
The Veuve Clicquot Rich set at Miva costs 71.50 euros. They also have summer sets in which, with the purchase of 12 bottles of Veuve Clicquot Brut and Veuve Clicquot Rich, they give tu buyers a Vilebrequin beach towel in the distinctive yellow color. The Brut gift set is 698.40, and the Rich is 858 euros.
