The California winery Grgich & Hills, founded in 1977 by Miljenko Mike Grgich and his partner Austin Hills, and now managed by his daughter Violet, has shared the review. We are proud of this recognition for our sister winery, which has been part of the Grgich family story since the very beginning and maintains the connection between Napa Valley and Croatia, stated Grgich & Hills.
The acclaimed 2024 Pošip is made from grapes grown on Korčula and vinified in Trstenik on the Pelješac Peninsula. Miljenko Grgić founded Grgić Vina in 1996 with his daughter Violet Grgić and nephew Ivo Jeramaz to produce premium wines from the indigenous Croatian varieties Pošip and Plavac Mali. The winery nearly burned down in a massive fire in 2015; the flames reached the very walls, but they managed to save it.
